Moving Beyond Our Blind spots
In a work environment typically driven by deadlines, deliverables and measurable outcomes, there must be concerted effort at the individual and organizational level to identify barriers and opportunities to understand, and work through and across our differences. This workshop will explore the ways in which our own blind spots unintentionally impact our interpersonal dynamics and effectiveness in the workplace. Specific attention will be given to:
• unpacking the relationship between various dimensions of our identity
• the cycle of socialization and microaggressions as pathways to understanding
• and disrupting our unconscious beliefs and behavioral patterns
