Karen Pershing

Karen serves as an implementation consultant for the SMART Initiative. Before joining SMART, she was the executive director of the Metro Drug Coalition in Knoxville from 2010 to 2024. Most recently, she served as the coalition's director of grants and government relations. 

Karen received her bachelor's in human ecology and a master's in public health, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
