About the Insitute
Formed in August 1971 by the UT Board of Trustees, the UT Institute for Public Service (IPS) serves businesses and government to improve the lives of Tennesseans. The institute is the public service outreach organization for the UT System.
With offices statewide, IPS is the parent organization for agencies that provide technical consulting and training for state and local government, law enforcement, and business and industry.
Our agencies are staffed by expert consultants and trainers who produce billions of dollars in economic impact each year.
