Drive Seeking Donations for Hurricane Victims

The UT Institute for Public Service and one of its agencies, the Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS), are spearheading a drive across campus to collect items for victims of Hurricane Matthew. All items will be donated to Remote Area Medical and be transported to North and South Carolina.

Currently, RAM says the following items are in demand:



  • Diapers  
  • Baby wipes
  • Baby formula
  • Baby food 
  • Bottled water 
  • Cots
  • Pillows 
  • Blankets 
  • Paper products (plates, cups, paper towels, toilet paper)
  • Plastic utensils (forks, spoons, knives)
  • Garbage bags 




  • Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
  • Bar soap, deodorant, 
  • Wash clothes
  • Hand sanitizer 
  • Disinfectant/ Bleach
  • Mops, buckets, and sponges
  • Rubber and plastic gloves
  • Non-perishable food (dry rice/ noodles, pop-top canned goods, peanut butter, dry milk)
  • 100% Fruit Juice
  • Individual bottles of Gatorade
  • Dog/ Cat food


If you plan to donate items, please put them in a box and drop them off at the main institute office at 1610 University Ave.
